Bacon Wrapped Scallop Fondue Recipe

Serves/Makes: 4

Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces scallops
  • 1pound sliced bacon, each slice cut into thirds
  • Oil for fondue
  • Toothpicks
How to cook Bacon Wrapped Scallop Fondue:
  • Wrap a scallop with a piece of bacon; secure with a toothpick and place on platter. Continue until all scallops are wrapped in bacon.
  • In a saucepan heat oil to 375°F (190°C) and transfer to fondue pot (or heat oil in an electric fondue). Do not fill fondue pot more than half full. Before using, allow oil to cool slightly to 350°F (180°C).
  • Spear bacon-wrapped scallop with fondue fork and remove toothpicks. Fondue in moderately hot oil for 3 to 5 minutes or until bacon starts to brown.
