Cajun Arctic Char Recipe

Serves/Makes: 4 - 6

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds Arctic char or salmon fillets
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
How to cook Cajun Arctic Char:
  • In a small bowl, mix all dry ingredients together.
  • Brush flesh side of Arctic Char fillets with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle dry ingredients over char fillets.
  • In a large skillet heat oil.
  • Add char fillets skin side down and cook about 5 minutes.
  • Turn char fillets and cook about 5 minutes more or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

Note:

On the grill: place fillets on foil and cook over hot coals following directions above.
