Chinese Shrimp and Broccoli Recipe
Serves/Makes: 4
Ingredients:
- 1 pound shrimps (prawns)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cups broccoli flowerettes
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 teaspoons fresh ginger root, grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- Over medium heat, add the olive oil to a wok. Add the broccoli flowerettes and garlic and stir-fry for 3 minutes.
- Add the shrimp, water and ginger and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let simmer for 5 minutes, until the vegetables are hot and shrimp is pink.
- In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce and cornstarch, and stir into the wok for 3 minutes until the sauce is thickened.
