Chinese Shrimp and Broccoli Recipe

Chinese Shrimp and Broccoli recipe Serves/Makes: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound shrimps (prawns)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cups broccoli flowerettes
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger root, grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
How to cook Chinese Shrimp and Broccoli:
  • Over medium heat, add the olive oil to a wok. Add the broccoli flowerettes and garlic and stir-fry for 3 minutes.
  • Add the shrimp, water and ginger and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let simmer for 5 minutes, until the vegetables are hot and shrimp is pink.
  • In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce and cornstarch, and stir into the wok for 3 minutes until the sauce is thickened.
