How to cook Dutch Baked Eel
- 1 eel (about 2 pounds)
- 4 ounces butter
- Pepper and salt, to taste
- 2 teaspoons vinegar
- Clean the fish and cut into 2-inch lengths.
- Melt the butter in a casserole and put in the eel.
- Sprinkle with breadcrumbs, nutmeg, seasoning and vinegar, cover and bake in a slow oven (300°F) for 2 hours.
