Garlic Butter Shrimps Recipe
Serves/Makes: 6
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds (1 kg) fresh shrimps
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) butter
- 1 teaspoon (5 mL) salt
- 6 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) freshly chopped Italian parsley
- 2 teaspoons (10 mL) grated lemon rind
- 2 tablespoons (30 mL) freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 6 lemon segments (to garnish)
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Shell shrimps, leaving tails on; remove veins.
- Wash shrimps under cold running water; drain shrimps onto paper toweling.
- Into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch (33 x 13 x 5-cm) oven-proof dish, melt butter in oven.
- Salt; well mix in garlic and 1 tablespoon (15 mL) of Italian parsley.
- Arrange shrimps side-by-side in dish.
- Bake into preheated oven, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
- Turn shrimps.
- Sprinkle with lemon rind, remaining Italian parsley and lemon juice.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until tender.
- Transfer shrimps into a warm serving dish.
- Pour in garlic-butter sauce.
- Serve, garnished with lemon segments.
