German Shrimp Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound medium-sized shrimps, cooked, shelled, deveined
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon minced parsley
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon salad oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
How to cook German Shrimp Salad:
  • Toss shrimps with onion and parsley, sprinkle lightly with salt, pepper and lemon juice.
  • Refrigerate for about 30 minutes, or until just before serving time.
  • Add mayonnaise and trickle oil in slowly until salad has the right creamy consistency and is neither too thin nor too thick.
  • Adjust seasoning and serve the German Shrimp Salad (Garnelensalat) on chilled, crisp lettuce leaf.

Notes:

The German name for the Shrimp Salad recipe is Garnelensalat.
