Grilled Tuna with Mediterranean Yogurt Sauce Recipe

Serves/Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients:

  •     For the Grilled Tuna:
  • 4 fresh high-quality tuna steaks (about 6 ounces each and about 1-inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Greek seasoning
  •     For the Mediterranean Yogurt Sauce:
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped kalamata olives
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Greek seasoning
How to cook Grilled Tuna with Mediterranean Yogurt Sauce:
  • Place tuna steaks on a plate or platter.
  • Whisk together olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, and Greek seasoning. Pour mixture over tuna and turn to coat both sides.
  • Heat grill to medium-high, about 450°F (230°C).
  • Grill tuna until desired doneness (about 2 minutes on each side for medium-rare).
  • For the Mediterranean yogurt sauce: Stir together all ingredients until combined.
  • For maximum flavor, make the sauce a day in advance and chill until serving.
  • Serve the grilled tuna with Mediterranean yogurt sauce.
