Maestro Oysters Recipe

Serves/Makes: 1 serving

Ingredients:

  • 4 oysters on the half shell
  • 1 ounce black Sambucca*
  • Spinach leaves
  • Swiss cheese, grated
How to cook Maestro Oysters:
  • On each open oyster, pour 1/4 ounce of black Sambucca, cover with a spinach leave and Swiss cheese.
  • Put the oysters in a 450°F (230°C) oven for 4 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Serve the Maestro Oysters hot.

*Sambuca is an Italian anise-flavoured, usually colorless, liqueur. Its most common variety is often referred to as white sambuca to differentiate it from other varieties that are deep blue in color (black sambuca) or bright red (red sambuca).
