Orange Baked Smelts Recipe

Serves/Makes: 4


  • 2 pounds smelts (thawed and pressed)
  • 1 teaspoon orange rind, grated
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
How to cook Orange Baked Smelts:
  • Arrange smelts in greased baking dish.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Combine melted butter with orange juice and rind.
  • Pour over smelts.
  • Bake in 450°F oven about 10 minutes.
