Oyster Submarine Recipe
Serves/Makes: 3
Ingredients:
- Oysters
- 1 (14-inch / 35-cm) long bread
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Butter
- Mayonnaise
- Oil
- Shredded lettuce
- 1 sliced tomato
- 1 sliced lemon
- Slice bread lengthwise garnish both halves with garlic.
- Spread one side with butter, the other with mayonnaise.
- Reserve.
- Fry oysters in hot oil (375°F / 190°C), for 3 minutes.
- Garnish one side of bread with shredded lettuce, layer half of cooked oysters and top with tomato slices.
- Top with remaining cooked oysters and then with lemon slices.
- Press two halves of bread together.
- Bake for 3 to 5 minutes, in a preheated 400°F (200°C) oven.
