Oysters Parmesan Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Oysters
  • 1 teaspoon (5 mL) minced chives
  • 1 teaspoon (5 mL) chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon (5 mL) lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 mL) salt
  • Garlic (optional)
  • 1 cup (250 mL) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup (250 mL) soda cracker crumbs
  • Butter
How to cook Oysters Parmesan:
  • Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
  • Scrub and wash oyster shells arrange onto 2 baking sheets.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 5 minutes.
  • Mix together some butter, chives, parsley, lemon juice, salt and, to taste, garlic.
  • Open-up oyster shells arrange oyster half back onto baking sheets, being careful not to loose any of the liquid.
  • Dot each oyster with a little butter mixture (the size of a pea).
  • Mix together Parmesan cheese and soda cracker crumbs.
  • Sprinkle 1 tablespoon (15 mL) of crumbs mixture over each oyster.
  • Bake, on the top rack of the oven, for 2 to 3 minutes, until golden.
