  • 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon of dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon of celery salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 2 sliced lemons (for garnish)
  • Fresh Italian parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Non-stick cooking spray
How to cook Parmesan Broiled Tilapia:
  • Preheat the broiler of your oven so it is ready when you are finished with the preparations.
  • Use cooking spray to grease a broiling pan, or line it with aluminum foil.
  • Place Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise and the softened butter in a bowl. Pour the lemon juice over the ingredients and mix them all together.
  • Add the dried basil, the pepper, the celery salt and the onion powder to the mayonnaise mixture and merge carefully.
  • Put the tilapia fillets in the prepared broiling pan.
  • Insert the broiling pan in the oven and broil the tilapia fillets a few inches from the heat for approximately 2-3 minutes.
  • Turn the tilapia fillets and broil them for a few more minutes.
  • Take the tilapia fillets out of the oven and cover the tops of the fillets with the Parmesan cheese mix.
  • Insert the broiling pan in the oven once more and broil the tilapia fillets until the topping has turned brown.
  • The fish is ready when it is easy to flake it using a fork. It is important not to over cook the fish.
  • Place the Parmesan broiled tilapia fillets on serving plate and garnish with lemon slices and fresh parsley.
