Pinoy Crabs in Coconut Milk Recipe

Pinoy Crabs in Coconut Milk recipe Serves/Makes: 6 - 8

Ingredients:

  • 4 pounds blue crabs (Alimasag)
  • 8 cups coconut milk
  • 1/8 cup cooking oil
  • 4 large cloves garlic, crushed
  • 3 tablespoons ginger, julienned
  • 3 tablespoons white onions, minced
  • 3 jalapeno pepper
  • 2 tablespoons rock salt
  • Spinach leaves (optional)
How to cook Pinoy Crabs in Coconut Milk:
  • Wash and clean crabs, discard carapace and claws then set aside.
  • Saute garlic in oil until light brown. Add onions then crabs. Stir well until crabs change color.
  • Add coconut milk and jalapeno pepper.Bring to a boil for 2 minutes.Simmer for 15 minutes. Season with salt.
  • Add spinach and continue simmering for 1 minute. Serve the Pinoy Crabs in Coconut Milk (Ginataang Alimasag) hot at once.
