Pinoy Crabs in Coconut Milk Recipe
Serves/Makes: 6 - 8
Ingredients:
- 4 pounds blue crabs (Alimasag)
- 8 cups coconut milk
- 1/8 cup cooking oil
- 4 large cloves garlic, crushed
- 3 tablespoons ginger, julienned
- 3 tablespoons white onions, minced
- 3 jalapeno pepper
- 2 tablespoons rock salt
- Spinach leaves (optional)
- Wash and clean crabs, discard carapace and claws then set aside.
- Saute garlic in oil until light brown. Add onions then crabs. Stir well until crabs change color.
- Add coconut milk and jalapeno pepper.Bring to a boil for 2 minutes.Simmer for 15 minutes. Season with salt.
- Add spinach and continue simmering for 1 minute. Serve the Pinoy Crabs in Coconut Milk (Ginataang Alimasag) hot at once.
