Russian Baked Sturgeon for Christmas Recipe

Serves/Makes: 5 - 6 servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole sturgeon about 2 1/2 pounds
  • 1 bunch dill
  • Salt and white pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoon butter
How to cook Russian Baked Sturgeon for Christmas:
  • Rinse sturgeon under running cold water, remove the entrails and gills. Rinse again and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Rub inside and out with salt and pepper.
  • Place dill and butter in cavity of fish.
  • Place the fish on a baking tray and cover with foil.
  • Bake in a preheated oven to 355°F (180°C) for about 15 minutes, then remove the foil and brown for another 10-12 minutes.
  • Serve the baked sturgeon hot with boiled or mushed potatoes and pickles.
