Somali Crab Meat Stew Recipe
Serves/Makes: 4
Ingredients:
- 1 pound crab meat
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons cilantro, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 5 medium tomatoes, chopped
- Salt
- Melt the butter in a frying pan and saute onion, garlic, coriander, salt, ginger, pepper and cumin.
- Saute until the onion is golden brown.
- Add tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add crab meat and saute over low heat for 20 minutes.
- Serve the sauteed crab meat with rice.
