Thai Fried Buttered Spanish Mackerel Steaks Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 Spanish mackerel steaks (about 1/2 pound each)
  • 1/4 cup wheat flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground dried chilies
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice
  • A quarter of a 1/2 pound bar of butter, melted
  • Cooking oil for frying
How to cook:
  • Mix the melted butter and lime juice in a bowl and set aside.
  • In another bowl, mix the flour, salt, and pepper.
  • Dip the mackerel steaks in the butter and then coat with the flour.
  • Deep fry the mackerel steaks. When done, place on a dish, sprinkle with a little ground dried chili, and serve.
