Thai Fried Buttered Spanish Mackerel Steaks Recipe
Serves/Makes: 4
Ingredients:
- 2 Spanish mackerel steaks (about 1/2 pound each)
- 1/4 cup wheat flour
- 1/4 teaspoon ground dried chilies
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons lime juice
- A quarter of a 1/2 pound bar of butter, melted
- Cooking oil for frying
How to cook:
- Mix the melted butter and lime juice in a bowl and set aside.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, salt, and pepper.
- Dip the mackerel steaks in the butter and then coat with the flour.
- Deep fry the mackerel steaks. When done, place on a dish, sprinkle with a little ground dried chili, and serve.
