
Coquilles Saint-Jacques – 3 Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 (4-ounce / 113-g) can medium-size shrimps
- 1 (6 1/2-ounce / 184-g) can tuna fish, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons (30 mL) butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) choped onion
- 1 cup (250 mL) chopped mushrooms
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) chopped celery
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) butter
- Salt
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) flour
- 2 cups (500 mL) milk
- 4 potatoes, boiled
- Butter
- Salt and pepper
- Grated Mozzarella cheese
- Breadcrumbs
How to cook Coquilles Saint-Jacques – 3:
- In a fry pan, melt butter or margarine brown onion, mushrooms and celery for 10 minutes set aside.
- In a clean saucepan, melt butter mix in a little salt, flour and pour in milk.
- Mix reserved onion mixture, tuna fish and shrimps into white sauce.
- Leave to cool.
- Mash boiled potatoes with a little butter, salt and pepper.
- Fill shells with fish/shrimps mixture decorate all around with mashed potatoes.
- Sprinkle with grated Mozzarella cheese and breadcrumbs.
- Broil in oven until golden brown.
