Ingredients:
- 1 pound smelt, dressed
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 3/4 cup thick coconut milk
How to cook Easy Filipino Simmered Smelt:
- Marinate smelt in vinegar, salt and turmeric for at least 1 hour.
- Bring to a boil and simmer covered for 5 minutes.
- Add coconut milk and simmer 5 minutes more.
