
Filipino Fish Ball Soup Recipe
Serves/Makes: 6
Ingredients:
- 1 pound cod fillets, cooked and flaked
- 1/4 cup onions, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 large egg
- 6 cups chicken stock
- 4 green onions, chopped, green parts only
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon patis (Filipino fish sauce)
- Cornstarch
How to cook Filipino Fish Ball Soup:
- Combine cooked and flaked fish with chopped onion, salt, pepper, and 1 egg. Form into balls. Roll the fish balls in a small amount of cornstarch.
- Bring stock to a boil. Drop in the fish balls. Season with fish sauce and some pepper. Just before serving, mix in beaten egg and sliced green onions.
- Serve the Filipino Fish Ball Soup hot.

Any firm white fish will do in place of the cod.
