
Filipino Sinigang na Hipon Recipe
Serves/Makes: 4 – 6
Ingredients:
- 1 pound shrimps (prawns)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 ounces green beans, cut
- 3 ounces radish, sliced
- 1 banana, peeled and cut
- 1 tomato, cut
- 4 tablespoons rice, cooked
- 4 tablespoons lemon juice
- 4 tablespoons fish sauce (patis)
- Salt and pepper to taste
How to cook Filipino Sinigang na Hipon:
- Bring 2 cups of water to the boil and add the onions, beans, radish and banana.
- Simmer for 3 minutes. Add the shrimps and simmer 2 more minutes.
- Add the tomato, rice, fish sauce, lemon juice and pepper and salt to taste. Serve the Filipino Sinigang na Hipon in soup bowls hot.
