
Filipino Talakitok in Coconut Milk Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 large talakitok*
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup coconut meat
- 2 cups coconut milk
- 1 chili pepper
- Salt to taste
How to cook Filipino Talakitok in Coconut Milk:
- Pound the onion, coconut meat, salt, and chili pepper in a stone mortar. Set aside the mixture.
- Clean the fish by removing all the entrails and gills. Cut into serving pieces.
- Place the fish in a casserole, then add the coconut juice.
- Bring to a boil, then add the coconut-chili mixture.
- Simmer until the fish is done.
