
German Fish Rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds fish fillet
- Lemon juice
- 1 onion
- 2 strips bacon
- 1 cup pickles
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
- Flour or bread crumbs
- 6 tablespoons butter
- Salt to taste
How to cook German Fish Rolls:
- Sprinkle fillets of fish with lemon juice and salt and let stand.
- Chop onion finely and brown with bacon.
- Chop pickles and parsley together, and add.
- Coat fillets with this mixture, roll them up and fasten with toothpicks.
- Roll in flour or bread crumbs and brown in hot butter.
- Serve with salted potatoes and tomato sauce or Sauerkraut Salad (see the recipe below).
Sauerkraut Salad (Sauerkrautsalat) Recipe
Sauerkraut Salad (Sauerkrautsalat) Ingredients:
- 1/2 pound prepared sauerkraut
- 3 tbls olive oil
- 2 apples, grated
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
How to cook Sauerkraut Salad (Sauerkrautsalat):
- Drain sauerkraut.
- Make marinade of other ingredients and add.
- Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
- This salad goes particularly well with fish.
