
Gratin Shrimps Recipe
Serves/Makes: 4
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds (675 g) medium size shrimps, peeled and deveined
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) melted butter
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) sherry or dry white wine
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) freshly chopped parsley
- 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 3 shallots, finely minced
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 mL) dried oregano, crushed
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) breadcrumbs
- Pinch of freshly ground pepper
- Pinch of salt
How to cook:
- Arrange shrimps into 4 oven-proof individual dishes.
- Sprinkle with sherry or dry white wine.
- In a bowl, mix together parsley, garlic, shallots, oregano, breadcrumbs, pepper and salt.
- Sprinkle shrimps with mixture.
- Then sprinkle all over with melted butter.
- Bake in a preheated 325 degrees F (160°C) oven, until just boiling.
- Serve the Gratin Shrimps really hot.
Notes:
Gratin – A dish that is topped with cheese or breadcrumbs and grilled until golden and crispy. French – au Gratin.
