
Indian Prawn Cutlets with Coconut Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound peeled prawns (shrimps), minced
- 1 egg, beaten
- 4 green chilies, chopped
- 1/4 cup desiccated (shredded) coconut
- 1 bunch fresh coriander (cilantro), chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 3 tablespoons ghee*
How to cook Indian Prawn Cutlets with Coconut:
- Mix together all the ingredients except the egg, breadcrumbs and ghee and shape into flat cutlets.
- Dip the cutlets in beaten egg then in breadcrumbs.
- Heat the ghee and fry the cutlets for about 10 minutes each side until cooked through and nicely browned.
- Serve the fried prawn cutlets hot with steamed rice and vegetables.
