
Indian Prawns in Pink Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:
- 2 pounds peeled prawns (shrimps)
- 4 tablespoons tomato puree (paste)
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 cup single (light) cream
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger root
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
- 4 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin and pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
How to cook Indian Prawns in Pink Sauce:
- Mix together the tomato puree, water, ginger, cayenne, lemon juice, salt, pepper and sugar.
- Heat the oil and fry the mustard seeds until they start crackling.
- Add the garlic then the prawns and stir fry for 2 minutes.
- Pour in the sauce mixture and stir over a low heat until the sauce starts bubbling.
- Serve at once with steamed rice and vegetables.
