
Japanese Salmon in Miso Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds fresh salmon steaks or fillets
- 1/2 cup light miso (fermented soy bean paste)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Pinch of MSG (optional)
- 3 scallions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup sake
How to cook Japanese Salmon in Miso:
- Place the steaks in a bowl large enough for marinating.
- In another bowl, mix the remaining ingredients.
- Marinate the steaks in this mixture for about 2 hours at room temperature, or in the refrigerator overnight.
- Grill or broil until done to your own taste.
