
Jewish Parmesan Broiled Tilapia Recipe
Serves/Makes: 3
Ingredients:
- 1 pound tilapia fillets
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
- 1 tablespoon chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon chopped chives
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon white wine
- Dash of Worcestershire sauce
- Dash of pepper
- 2 sliced lemons (for garnish)
- Fresh Italian parsley, chopped (for garnish)
How to cook Jewish Parmesan Broiled Tilapia:
- Combine butter or margarine, onion, chives, and mayonnaise. Add Parmesan cheese and mix well. Set aside.
- Place the tilapia fillets in baking dish in one layer. Pour lemon juice, wine and Worcestershire sauce over fish. Season with pepper.
- Broil fillets about 6 – 8 minutes, depending on thickness of fish. Frost the tilapia fillets with cheese mixture and broil 3 minutes longer.
- Place the Parmesan broiled tilapia fillets on a serving plate and garnish with lemon slices and fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
