
King Mackerel Adobo (Adobong Tanigue) Recipe
Serves/Makes: 4 – 6
Ingredients:
- 1 whole king mackerel (tanigue), about 2 1/2 to 3 pounds
- 2 cloves garlic, pounded
- 8 peppercorns
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 root ginger, crushed
- 2 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 3/4 tablespoon salt
How to cook King Mackerel Adobo (Adobong Tanigue):
- Clean the fish removing all the entrails and gills. Cut into serving pieces.
- Place fish in a pot , then add the garlic, pepper, cooking oil, vinegar, ginger, salt and water.
- Bring to a simmer until the King Mackerel Adobo is done.
