
Maryland Elegant Cream of Crab Soup Recipe
Serves/Makes: 4 – 6 as a first course
Ingredients:
- 1 pound crab meat
- 2 cans potato soup
- 1 quart half-and-half
- 1/4 pound butter
- 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- A little minced onion
- Salt and pepper, to taste
How to cook Maryland Elegant Cream of Crab Soup:
- In a large saucepan, combine the half-and-half with potato soup.
- Add butter and the remaining seasonings.
- Heat slowly and stir often. Add crab meat and mix well.
- Simmer about 20 minutes, stirring often. Do not boil.
- You can add seafood seasoning or Tabasco to taste, if desired.
