
Maryland Rich Crab Cakes Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound crab meat, backfin or jumbo lump
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup thick cream
- 1/8 pound butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Cayenne pepper, to taste
How to cook Maryland Rich Crab Cakes:
- Mix crab and flour and stir gently to coat.
- Add egg, cream and seasonings together.
- Pour over crab and mix gently.
- Form the crab mixture into 8 patties.
- Melt butter in a heavy skillet and drop large spoonfuls of crab mixture into hot butter.
- Brown on both sides.
