
Poached Tilapia (Pinaksiwang Tilapia) Recipe
Serves/Makes: 6
Ingredients:
- 6 pieces tilapia fish (cleaned and scaled)
- 1 small ginger
- 1 ripe guava (quartered)
- 6 pieces guava leaves
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 cup coconut milk
- Pinch of salt
How to cook Poached Tilapia (Pinaksiwang Tilapia):
- In a casserole, arrange fish, ginger, guava and guava leaves.
- Pour in vinegar and coconut milk.
- Season with salt.
- Cook covered over medium heat and let boil until fish is done.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
