
Scottish Salmon Steaks MacLeod Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 salmon steaks (about 6 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons seasoned flour
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 tablespoons double cream
- Salt and cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon chopped fennel
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry
- 1 lemon, quartered
How to cook Scottish Salmon Steaks MacLeod:
- Dip the salmon steaks in seasoned flour, then lay them in a thickly buttered shallow fireproof dish.
- Mix the cream with the sherry and fennel, then season with a little salt and cayenne pepper.
- Pour this over the salmon steaks, cover with foil and bake in a moderate oven 375°F (190°C) for about 30 minutes.
- Serve the baked salmon steaks with quarters of lemon.
