
Simple Shrimp Creole Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound frozen or fresh shrimp, cooked
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper
- 2 tablespoons shortening or oil
- 1 can (1 1/4 cups) condensed tomato soup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- Dash of Tabasco sauce (or more to taste)
- Dash of black pepper
- 3 cups hot cooked rice
How to cook Simple Shrimp Creole:
- Cook onion with green pepper until soft in shortening.
- Add soup, water, vinegar, Tabasco sauce and black pepper.
- Cook over low heat about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add shrimp; cook 5 minutes longer.
- Pour shrimp and sauce over hot rice and serve.
