
Smoked Salmon Cardamom Spread Recipe
Serves/Makes: 24 servings (1 ounce each)
Ingredients:
- 1 pound kippered salmon
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 lemon
How to cook Smoked Salmon Cardamom Spread:
- Chop half of the kippered salmon in the bowl of a food processor. Add the sour cream, cardamom, and pepper.
- Grate the zest of the lemon into the salmon mixture, then squeeze 1/2 of the lemon’s juice into the mixture as well. Process the salmon mixture until it is pureed.
- Transfer the puree to a large bowl. Coarsely chop the remaining salmon and add it to the puree.
- Mix well, cover, and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Serve the Smoked Salmon Cardamom Spread on favorite crackers or bread.
