
Thai Coconut Shrimps Recipe
Serves/Makes: 2 – 3
Ingredients:
- 12 large shelled shrimps (prawns) with tails intact
- 2 eggs
- 3 ounces milk
- 3 ounces beer
- 8 tablespoons grated coconut
- 1/4 cup flour
- 4 tablespoon ginger jam
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 3 ounces red wine
- 3 ounces orange juice
How to cook Thai Coconut Shrimps:
- Mix the red wine, orange juice, ginger jam, and mustard and reduce this mixture to sauce on a high heat.
- Make a batter of eggs, beer, milk, coconut, and flour.
- Dip the shrimps (prawns) in the batter and sprinkle them with coconut.
- Deep-fry them until they are golden brown.
- Serve the deep-fried shrimps (prawns) with the sauce.
