
Thai Crab Legs with Yellow Bean Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds crab legs
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon Thai yellow bean sauce*
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 3 green onions, cut into 2-inch lengths
- Green onion brushes, to garnish
How to cook Thai Crab Legs with Yellow Bean Sauce:
- Rinse crab legs and cut into 2 to 3-inch lengths; crack shells.
- Combine cornstarch and cold water; stir to dissolve. In a wok heat oil, garlic and onion on high heat until garlic browns.
- Stir in egg; mix well. Add crab, yellow bean sauce, oyster sauce and cornstarch mixture.
- Reduce heat to medium and cook for 10 to 15 minutes, or until crab is cooked.
- Be careful not to overcook crab. Stir in green onions.
- Garnish the crab legs with green onion brush and serve hot with steamed rice.
