
Thai Hot and Sour Seafood Soup Recipe
Ingredients:
- 8 green king prawns or large shrimp in the shell
- 2 cleaned squid, cut into rings
- 5 cups fish stock
- 1 lemon grass root, finely chopped
- 1 small lime, thinly sliced
- 2 dried kaffir lime leaves
- 1 fresh red chili, seeded
- 2 tablespoons Thai fish sauce
- 1 green onion, chopped (to garnish)
- Fresh lime slices (to garnish)
How to cook Thai Hot and Sour Seafood Soup:
- Bring stock to boil. Add lemon grass, lime, lime leaves, and chili. Simmer 6 to 7 minutes.
- Peel prawns, leaving tails and last section of shell intact. Cut along center of back and remove vein.
- Add prawns, squid, and fish sauce to stock mixture.
- Simmer till seafood is tender.
- Garnish the seafood soup with chopped green onion and lime fresh lime slices.
