Thai Spicy Baked Prawns Recipe
Serves/Makes: 1
Ingredients:
- 4 medium-sized spiny-clawed prawns (shrimps)
- 2 tablespoons ground dried shrimp
- 2 1/2 tablespoons phrik khing curry paste
- 6 green beans
- 1 tablespoon palm sugar
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon thinly slices of kaffir lime leaf
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
How to cook Thai Spicy Baked Prawns:
- Wash the prawns (shrimps). Remove the vein, and make a series of cuts across the underside so the tails can be laid out straight.
- Lay the prawns (shrimps) next to each other on an oven-proof dish and bake in a 350°F oven until the shells redden.
- Heat a little oil in a frying pan and fry the chili paste until fragrant. Then, add the fish sauce, palm sugar, and dried shrimp and fry about a minute. When the mixture has the right sweet and salty taste, spoon it over the prawns (shrimps) tails.
- Wash the green beans and cut off the ends. In a clean frying pan, heat 1 tablespoon oil. When hot, add the beans and fry. Arrange the fried beans with the prawns (shrimps) and serve.
