
Filipino Spicy Prawns Recipe
Serves/Makes: 4 – 6
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds prawns (shrimps), shelled
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 piece of ginger root, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, mashed
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- Handful basil leaves, chopped
How to cook Filipino Spicy Prawns:
- Fry the onions, ginger, garlic and chilies for 3 minutes.
- Add the prawns and fry 2 minutes more.
- Add the chili sauce and the soy sauce and cook 2 minutes on high heat.
- Put the prawns on a plate, pour the sauce over and sprinkle the basil leaves on top.
- Serve the Filipino Spicy Prawns hot with steamed rice.
