
Halabos na Hipon Recipe
Serves/Makes: 2 – 3
Ingredients:
- 1 pound (454 g) large shrimp (cleaned) shell on
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon oil
How to cook Halabos na Hipon:
- Put shrimps, water and salt in a saucepan.
- Cover and bring to a boil.
- Stir once in a while and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Drain.
- In a skillet, heat oil.
- Saute shrimps until coated with oil.
- Serve with salted vinegar.
Notes:
The Halabos na Hipon is a very affordable dish. So quick and easy to cook – healthy as well.

The Halabos na Hipon is simpliest way to cook shrimp. In Philippines traditionally serve with dipping sauce of vinegar, salt, garlic, and hot chilies.
